This Fx simulates the sound of a twelve string guitar on a six string guitar. It splits and delays the signal into two paths. A more accurate 12 string representation can be created by using the pitch shifting effect, but that is much more CPU intensive.
The frequency at which the high band is split off, the 'gain' of that band, the time by which it is delayed and the mix of the non-delayed and delayed signals are all settable. In this case: the delay of the high band is 11.9mS, it is boosted by 7.1dB, the frequency where the high band starts is 711Hz, and the high band is mixed in 1dB below the main non-delayed signal. |
