This provides a wah wah tone by varying the centre of a bandpass filter, either manually (knob or MIDI input) or automatically from the input signal level.
The maximum and minimum frequency span can be set, with the Q (sharpness) of the bandpass filter. In manual mode the knob or MIDI input will move it over that range. In auto mode, the input signal level is compared to maximum and minimum signal levels set, and the bandpass centre frequency set accordingly. In this case, it is in auto mode, Q is 1.0, if the level is less than -39.3dB the frequency will be 114Hz, if greater than -22.8dB it will be 578Hz, and pro-rata in between. |
