This Fx produces an echo effect.
Echo is different to chorus or flanging because the delay is longer, but the principle is the same, combine delayed and undelayed signals. With a short delay the ear treats the delayed and undelayed signals as one combined signal, but above a limit (typically around 100mS) separates them into two sounds. The delay range for this effect is 200mS to 2S. A percentage of the delayed signal can be fed back to be delayed again, and also passed though a filter to reduce the high frequencies. The type of output can also be set - either a single sound, or a merged together 'clump' of sounds.
The delay, amount of feedback, lowpass filter cutoff and signle/clumped output type are all settable. In this case the delay is 1.3S, 80% is fed back, the cut off is 600Hz and the output type is 'single' pulse. The delay can also be set by tapping on the 'tap' button. |
